If a student has not yet gotten a learners permit, we can issue a permit waiver and the student can get their learners permit up to 10 days prior to the students first day of class which will allow them to get a permit as early as 15 years old and without having to take the knowledge test prior to class. In order to get the waiver you must first come in to the school with a minimum of half tuition and the students Washington State ID number so we can issue the waiver. If you go to the DOL to get a permit prior to paying tuition and bringing in the ID number, they will not be able to issue the permit.

Once a student qualifies for their license, which includes being 16 years old and having held a permit for a minimum of 6 months, they will only need to go to the DOL or online, take in the required documentation, and get their drivers license.
